Shari Dwoskin, who was recently elevated to Brown Rudnick’s partnership, was featured in Law.com’s “How I Made Partner” series.
In the March 24 profile, Dwoskin, who has practiced bankruptcy law at Brown Rudnick since she graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 2014, said she has seen herself as a real member of the Firm since she was a junior associate, and she’s always been invested in making the Firm as great as it can be.
“Being a good lawyer is critical, but so is being a good teammate and a good mentor,” she said. “My ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients adds value to my group above and beyond my skills on the page and in the courtroom.”
Asked what advice she would give to her younger self, knowing what she knows now about her career path, Dwoskin said, “Being ‘the best’ at everything is much less important than being a good teammate. Collaboration is better than competition. And, critically, authenticity matters: you don’t need to fit into any niche, because you can build your own!”
