Susan Sieger-Grimm, a counsel in the Firm’s Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Practice Group, co-authored updates to two Thompson Reuters practice guides, one on guarantee and suretyship law and another on fraud law.
The 2022 update to “The Law of Suretyship and Guaranty,” a 700-page treatise, was released in July. It provides a comprehensive survey and analysis of all aspects of suretyship and the operation of the law in a wide variety of contexts. The 2022 edition includes a wide variety of case studies, including a discussion of the 2021 Second Circuit case, Arch Insurance Company v. Centerplan Construction Co.
The 2022 update to “The Law of Fraudulent Transactions,” an 1,800-page treatise, was released in August. It provides practical guidance on the implications and applications of contemporary fraud law and analyzes a number of laws pertaining to fraud contained in the Uniform Commercial Code, Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act, Uniform Fraudulent Conveyance Act, and the Federal Bankruptcy Code, among others.
Sieger-Grimm co-authored both with Peter Alces, a law professor at the College of William and Mary.
