
Susan Sieger-Grimm is a partner in the firm's Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Practice Group. She has represented both debtors and creditors in complex Chapter 11 cases and non-bankruptcy financial restructuring matters through varying financial landscapes over more than two decades. Susan also brings a significant academic foundation to her practice, as a co-author of well-regarded treatises in the areas of fraudulent transactions, suretyship and commercial law.
Beyond her practice, Susan has more than a decade of experience as a special education advocate and executive function coach for children with emotional disturbances in her community.

Red River Talc: Official Committee of Talc Claimants in Chapter 11 case of Red River Talc, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson.
Tehum Care Services: Bankruptcy counsel to the Official Committee of Tort Claimants in the Chapter 11 case of Tehum Care Services (f/k/a Corizon Health), a provider of nationwide healthcare services to prisons and jails. After successfully defeating a Rule 9019 settlement, we created a Chapter 11 plan structure that provides substantially higher recoveries for tort victims and provides each tort victim with the choice of continuing their litigation unfettered against non-debtor defendants in the civil justice system or participating in a settlement fund created by the Chapter 11 plan. If confirmed, this case will mark the first time a divisive merger case resulted in a confirmed Chapter 11 plan and a settlement that provides actual compensation to tort victims and, at the same time, actual optionality to tort victims who want to pursue their claims.

BlockFi Inc. Representing the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the cryptocurrency financial services company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case in the District of New Jersey.
Aearo Technologies LLC. Represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors for Tort Claimants – Related to Use of Combat Arms Version 2 Earplugs in the 3M subsidiary’s bankruptcy case in the Southern District of Indiana.
PG&E Corp. and Pacific Gas & Electric Company. Representing the Fire Victim Trust and its Trustees in connection with PG&E’s 2019 Chapter 11 bankruptcy case in the Northern District of California. Performed extensive work negotiating and drafting the Fire Victim Trust Agreement and Fire Victim Trust Claims Resolution Procedures for the $13.5 billion trust created to compensate victims of 2015-2018 California wildfires determined to have been ignited by PG&E’s equipment and drafted all manner of pleadings on behalf of the Trust in the Bankruptcy and District Courts for the Northern District of California and the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
McDermott International. Represented the Ad Hoc Group of Noteholders in pre-filing negotiations in McDermott’s pre-arranged Chapter 11 case in the Southern District of Texas and provided ongoing post-petition and related post-bankruptcy counsel to the group.
Michigan Health Care Corp. Represented Fidelity Management and Research Corporation as the largest bondholder in the hospital system bankruptcy in the Eastern District of Michigan.
In-Flight Phone Corporation. Represented the Debtors in their Chapter 11 case in the District of Delaware.
Consolidated Hydro, Inc. Represented the Debtors in their pre-packaged Chapter 11 case in the District of Delaware.
Montgomery Ward Holding Corp. Represented General Electric Credit Corporation as the largest secured and unsecured creditor in Montgomery Ward’s Chapter 11 case in the District of Delaware.
