Brown Rudnick Edits and Authors Inaugural Global Crypto Guide for Global Legal Post

Partners Jane Colston and Jessica Lee served as editors and contributors to Cryptoassets Law Over Borders Comparative Guide. Published by The Global Legal Post, the book gives a practical overview of the law regulating cryptoassets in key jurisdictions across the world.

As well as editing the guide, Colston and Lee authored the U.K. chapter. Partner Stephen Palley authored the U.S. chapter.

The guide covers issues including licensing and anti-money laundering requirements, the regulation of cryptoasset promotion, rules governing crypto bankruptcy and insolvency, the legal treatment of DAOs and smart contracts, and provides insights into proposed legal reforms in this complex and rapidly evolving space.

The guide was launched online on April 18 [available here], the same day as Brown Rudnick’s second annual Global Blockchain Conference in New York. Palley chaired the conference, which featured crypto investors, insurers, legal service providers, exchange and trading platforms and compliance experts as speakers.

The print edition of the guide will be launched at The Global Legal Post’s Luxury Legal Summit at the British Museum on June 11.
