Biography

Alessandra Maldonado is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group. Alessandra handles a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters, including those related to civil RICO, defamation, contract and business disputes, intellectual property rights, and bankruptcy-related litigation. Her practice encompasses various aspects of litigation, including case analysis and strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Alessandra is passionate about pro bono representation. She maintains an active and varied pro bono practice, partnering with NY-based legal services organizations to represent clients in their asylum proceedings, to help clients file name change petitions in NYC Civil Court, and to help clients protect their intellectual property. Alessandra firmly believes that pro bono representation is vital and a necessary part of living in a shared society.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Alessandra was a summer associate with the Firm before graduating in 2020 from Fordham University School of Law. During her time in law school, Alessandra gained a year’s worth of clinical experience as a student attorney in the Community Economic Development Clinic (“CED Clinic”) and the Legislative and Policy Advocacy Clinic (“LPAC”). Alessandra also worked as an extern with the U.S. Department of Labor, where she worked on issues related to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”). She was a law clerk at Legal Services NYC, where she helped represent clients in Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings and clients asserting employment discrimination.
